Nick's passion for cycling came to him when he joined a local triathlon team at the age of 12. It was only 2 years later when he began wrenching in bicycle stores. He continued to compete in triathlons till he was 17 participating in many sprints but eventually finding Olympic-distance races to be his strong point. Towards the end of the 2012 racing season when he had just finished competing in his first half-ironman, he decided that next year he would step away from the triathlon scene and focus on cycling.
After making a difficult transition and proving to have potential, he was able to pick up a sponsorship with the Naples Velo Cycling Community. He continued to race under sponsorship for 2 years, until graduating from high school.
Nick continues to train for races and has never stopped wrenching since the day he started. Nick has also enjoyed working for Trek more than he has for any other bicycle company.
