Letterman had mocked skiing during Vonn’s appearance on his show, something that still stings the Olympian.

“He had no right to be sodisrespectful and make fun of my sport!” Vonn said. “There was no point trying totell him off or anything. When youplay along, that means that youaccept the rules, and one of the rulesis that David Lettermans Late Showis not the place for serious discussionof the rules of competitive skiing.”

Vonn also touched on her need for publicity following her divorce, calling it an addiction.

“In the worst phases of my depression and the period before my divorce, I was almost addicted to people liking me, but the more I feel confident in myself, the less it matters to me what other people think about me.

There were times when I was addicted to attention.

Vonn also spoke candidly about her relationship with Tiger Woods.

A better athlete, I would say yes.One example: I wouldnt say Imunprofessional, but the consistency thatTiger shows in his professionalismwow. No one has any idea how hard Tigerworks.Really, no one, and in a sport inwhich many guys warm up by smokinga cigar, where you might assume thatyou dont really need to stay fit. Tiger sayshe wants to be fitter than all the others, thats his way.
